Keeping the muzzle pointed in a safe direction since 2008
There are the real McCoys out there like NFO that have forgot more about aviation than I will ever know. But it is my solid conviction that it ain't aviation unless a tail dragger and wind in the wires insn't involved.:)
Today, 11th Sept. I saw two Lancaster bombers, escorted by two Spitfires, flying over Selsey on the English South Coast towards the Goodwood Revival. They circled twice at about 1500 feet. The thundering roar of ten Merlin engines rattled the windows, it was a symphony a symphony of sound. One Lancaster has come over from Canada, the other is of the British Battle of Britain Flight; they are the only two remaining flying Lancs. This song made my memory of this magnificent fly-past that much more poignant as my father served in the RAF in WWII and he adored Vera Lynn.
