And then there were none

Concealed Carry is now outlawed in none of the 50 States

Things sure are different than they were 10 years ago.  And better, at least this way.

I wonder how the DC crowd thinks they can continue to push disarming the public, when all of the states have gone the opposite direction?

Oh, right - they're smarter/better than us. Us darned proles don't know our place.

To play contrarian here are you sure this is smart, 50% of the population are liberals/progressives and I wouldn't trust them with anything sharper than a plastic spork.

@knottedprop: Those are the ones that I wouldn't expect to be applying for a concealed carry license in the first place. The new law isn't going to make it mandatory for everyone to carry, just allow those who WANT to carry, and can show COMPETENCE (take a class, demonstrate shooting ability), to carry. I will go out on a limb here and say that 99.9999% of the Plastic Fork Brigade will continue to do what they've been doing...not carrying, and complaining about all the dangers of firearms that are oddly enough not materializing all over the place (blood in the streets, right?).

We Ill-i-noisians ain't got it just quite yet. We expect the state to drag its feet in every way possible. Meanwhile, because we do now have a law, carry without a permit is still a felony offense. Trouble is, no permits will likely be had by anyone for for the 270 days it takes them to get their act together.
