Can I just say ...

... that the iPhone GPS directions blow chunks?  They managed to triple my travel time and land me on the toll road.

Good grief, this is about enough to get me to replace the damn thing with Android.

Drink more of the (Apple) Kool-Aid.

It'll help.

Or just use Google Maps on iOS. It is in the App Store

When I eventually have to get one (a smartass phone) I'll come here to get advice on turning-off the .Gov GPS enablers and other crapola! :-)

The massive failure that is Apple's GPS is now well-documented. Google Maps works WAY better!

Yep, Google maps is MUCH better and it does work! Course you're screwed anyway with the toll roads up here...

Apple's Maps got me to the same destination with no issues...

Is WAZE available on the iPhone?
I've been using it more often than Google Navigator lately.

Yes, it is. My mom is an addictive WAZE user now that I convinced her to get a smart phone. I don't use it on a daily basis because there's only one way to get to work, so in the end it doesn't really matter if there's traffic or not.

Traveling, I switch between apple maps, google maps and waze. I don't know if it's just me, but it actually seems like google maps are less reliable than they were last year - I've been getting some weird routes lately.

I have the TomTom app for iPhone. Got it before Goggle Maps and it works perfect.

Besides, I hate Google and avoid their garbage as much as I can.

+ 1 on Tomtom. But the prime culprit is apples GPS receiver that just doesn't cut it. My Tom Tom holder has a more accurate Antsnna /chipset that overrides the iphone component. And for even better reception I have a small component that connects via Bluetooth
