Sunday links

Out with Mom and Dad all yesterday, and while we wore Dad out, we wore me out, too. His stamina is better than I was expecting.

But that didn't leave a lot of energy for a deeply insightful post for this morning. Here are some links that are worth your while, while I chase the cobwebs from the brain with massive infusions of coffee.

Kings of War have a must-read report from on the ground in Afghanistan. It's not optimistic. My attitude has been wait and see what Petraeus can do, but they address that, too:
Finally, I still do not understand what the political strategy is. Moreover, what are the positive trends which can be demonstrated in November 2010? I suspect that the best case to be made is that we now, at long last, have the pieces in place to succeed, in time. But surely that merely begs the question ‘what have you been doing for 9 years then?’ David Petraeus is an electrifying speaker, a great communicator, if anyone can do it he can. That said, it’s going to have to be one hell of a speech.
GettoPuter over at The Gormogons (you do read them every day, don't you?) looks at the President's Press Conference, his answer that burning the Koran will hurt us overseas, and asks "what else hurts us overseas?" He answers his own question, with a dozen Obama Administration examples, and sums up with the coup de grace:
'Puter's takeaway is this. The Obama Administration has done far greater and longer lasting damage to America than this no talent ass clown pseudo-Christian "pastor" could ever do. The Obama Administration is supposedly comprised of the best and the brightest liberal America has to offer. If this is the best and the brightest the American Left has, it's no wonder the average American is just itching to vote them the heck out of office.
The weather sure is nice here in Albuquerque. Back later.
