Back from the Range

Went shooting with #2 son and Burt from work. Range report coming tomorrow. In the mean time, two vignettes from the trip.

When we got to the range, some of the guys there were shooting one of these. .50 S&W Magnum.

$2.50 a trigger squeeze, there. For that price, it should sound like a flashbang grenade. Wow. I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm not man enough to fire this round.

Just the ticket if you're hunting watermelon, though.



And as we drove home, south from New Hampshire back into Massachusetts, I called out the sign on the highway:

Me: Welcome to Massachusetts.

#2 Son: No guns allowed!

Now where did he get that sense of humor?
